Barclaycard PayTag adds contactless payment to any phone: pictures and hands-on

Barclaycard has unveiled a new credit card that can add a contactless payment function to any phone, regardless of whether it is NFC-enabled or not.Called Barclaycard PayTag, the device is a small chip-filled Visa card with a sticky back that attaches to the back of your mobile handset. Then, you can pay by just swiping the rear of your phone over a compatible terminal at any of the multitudes of stores and eateries that accept contactless payments. The PayTag itself is free of charge to Barclaycard customers, and links directly to an existing Barclaycard credit card account. Users can currently spend up to £15 in a transaction, which will rise to £20 in June - just in time for the Queen's jubilee celebrations and the London 2012 Olympics. It is roughly a third of the size of a conventional credit card and its placement on the back of a mobile phone means you are more likely to have it on you at all times. While the latest conventional Barclaycard credit card also features contactless payment technology, David Chan, CEO of Barclaycard Consumer Europe, believes we hold more stock in our mobile phones. "[According to a recent YouGov poll] more than half of us say that the item we’re most lost without is our mobile phone, so we’re giving people the option of using them to make easy, convenient, everyday payments without the need to upgrade their current handset," he said. Visa also predicts that the number of contactless point-of-sale terminals in the UK will rise to 150,000 this year, and research undertaken by Barclaycard indicates that £3 billion of purchases will be made with mobile phones in the UK in 2016. Even London Buses and the Underground will accept contactless payments by 2013.

أطلقت مؤسسة "باركلي كارد" البريطانية، المتخصصة في مجال تطوير خدمات الدفع الإلكترونية والخاصة ببطاقات الائتمان، خدمة متميزة تتمثل في بيع لاصقات صغيرة الحجم، حوالي ثلث حجم بطاقات الائتمان، ومزودة بتقنية الاتصال قريب المدى المعروفة اختصاراً باسم "NFC"، ويتم لصقها بالهاتف الجوال من الخلف، بما يتيح للمستخدمين إنجاز بعض المعاملات النقدية من خلال الدفع الإلكتروني عبر الهاتف. ووفقا لمؤسسة "باركلي"، إحدى فروع بنك "باركليز" البريطاني، فإن طرق الدفع "دون تماس" عبر الهواتف الذكية ليست بالعملية الصعبة أو المعقدة، ولكنها لاتزال في مراحلها الأولى، ويعزى السبب في ذلك إلى عدم توافر عدد كبير من الأجهزة الداعمة لتلك التقنية، فيما عدا برنامج شركة "جوجل" الذي أطلقته العام الماضي تقريبا والموجود بهاتف "نيكسوس إس" الذكي. وتتيح لاصقات "باركلي كارد"، التي أُطلق عليها اسم "باي تاج" pay tag، لأي هاتف أن يتحول إلى محفظة رقمية تدعم تقنية "إن إف سي". وتتسم هذه اللاصقات بأنها تتوافق مع كافة الهواتف مهما كان نوعها أو عمرها، أي أن الشخص ليس في حاجة ماسة إلى استبدال هاتفه بآخر يدعم تلك التقنية، لتسهل عليه عملية الدفع الإلكتروني، فهذه اللاصقة مثلا تعمل حتى مع هاتف "سيمينز إس 25" الصادر عام 1999.  وسوف يتيح بنك باركليز لعملائه، من حاملي "بطاقات باركلي" في المملكة المتحدة، دفع الفواتير وسداد قيمة المشتريات من متاجر التجزئة بكل سهولة عبر الهاتف النقال. وسيقتصر الأمر في البداية على معاملات مالية محدودة، حدها الأقصى 15 جنية إسترليني (حوالي 24 دولار أمريكي)، على أن تزداد القيمة لاحقا لتصل إلى 20 جنية إسترليني (قرابة 32 دولار أمريكي) بحلول شهر يونيو/حزيران القادم. وسوف تتوافر هذه اللاصقات الجديدة الداعمة للتقنية اللاسلكية "إن إف سي" حاليا في جميع نقاط البيع في المملكة المتحدة المجهزة للتعامل مع الدفع اللاسلكي، والبالغ عددها حتى الآن 100 ألف نقطة بيع، فيما يتوقع أن يصل عددها إلى 150 ألف نقطة بيع بحلول نهاية العام الجاري. وتأمل المؤسسة أن يتم تفعيل عمليات الدفع بشرائح "NFC" في وسائل المواصلات العامة من حافلات أو قطارات بالعاصمة البريطانية "لندن" بحلول عام 2013.

رأينا كثيرا من قبل سيارات  مطلية او مزينة بالذهب او الفضة و بالنفائس و الجواهر التي تسر الناظرين .. و لكنا لم نشاهد سيارة مزينة بقطع من أواني الخزف و الصلصال و الفخار يالها من سيارة غريب .. هذه السيارة هي سيارة لادا لاندروفر المزينة بقطع من أعمال الفخار والخزف ، و التي  تسير في أحد الشوارع تيانجين أكبر مدن جمهورية الـصين الشعبية . و قاموا  بتزين سيارة لادا الاسطورية هذه بأمر من رئيس متحف الصين . و مالك هذه السيارة هو تشانغ ، يخطط الآن بعد تحويل سيارته لهديها كهدية تذكارية عملاقة للمتحف الصين .
